I once considered yoga to be a passive relaxation activity. Amanda, our gifted teacher has shown me how the gentle flow of postures can strengthen and challenge us physically, whilst calming the mind through focusing on our breath and how our body feels. Amanda has given us many practical postures to incorporate into our daily life. The information she shares throughout the class has helped to create a greater awareness of how the change of seasons impact on our physical & emotional well being. Classes focus on postures that tune into seasonal changes. Most importantly, she has emphasised that focussed breathing exercises are essential for our well being and for managing our increasingly busy lives. I leave the classes sometimes finding the routines tiring ,yet always nourishing for my mind, body and soul.
I am grateful for all that Amanda from Juma Yoga has shared and given to us. Over the years that I've attended Yoga classes I have experienced many benefits. Also, the Meditation sessions, Restorative and Nidra Yoga and the Yoga Retreat, I went to, have all enhanced my physical, emotional and spiritual growth. Yoga classes cover many aspects of 'Yoga' and Amanda gives clear guidance and instructions with poses. Plus, she gives explanations in regards to the background and reasons for performing various actions; - which bring increased understanding and learning. Her knowledge of the body's anatomy as well as the emotional and spiritual inter-connectedness and interrelationship all enhance classes and interactions with Amanda. Amanda is approachable and demonstrates genuine compassionate wisdom with intuitive insight. Her joyful & positive attitude and encouragement during classes make the Yoga sessions happy and, in some ways, therapeutic ones.

I've been a member of the Juma family for 10+ years and can't imagine my life without my weekly Yoga Practice. Amanda, our amazing teacher, puts so much time, effort and research into each of our lessons, her extensive knowledge of Yoga styles is reflected in her practice, we not only get to experience the Yoga moves, but understand which part of the body benefits from them, as well as learning about the Gods and Godesses of Yoga. Each week is different so you never get bored, we are informed, we are enlightened and we are enriched. The Venue is a tranquil tropical paradise, which immediately has a calming effect to enable you to relax and enjoy every aspect of your Yoga Practice. Thank you Amanda!

Where do we start, with the warm chai latte's, the friendly and welcoming smiles, too many downward dogs to count (but we did anyway), those thigh busting squats, and my favourite SAVASANA (Ahh). The food, the fun, the laughter, all within the space of JUMA, encouraged by Julie and Amanda. Retreats are another matter, with yoga practice, pottery and creative vision boards. Open log fires, sharing stories and wine of course! All surrounded by love, joy and peace. It is always worth being part of JUMA.

A serendipitous gift introduced me to Juma almost 10 years ago and I have been enjoying yoga classes with Amanda ever since. At the end of each session I usually float home, calm, relaxed, yet energised. Juma Health & Yoga is not just a yoga studio, it’s an experience! It’s a beautiful space to relax, learn and connect to like minded people. With so many online options available, I urge you to take the step to re-connect with real people. The benefits are amazing! I work full time in a demanding role, am a mum to teenagers and have a desire to squeeze a lot into my day, but making time for my weekly yoga class I believe, is crucial to my health and well being. Amanda is an experienced teacher and has a true passion to share the benefits and beliefs of yoga. I’ve been one of Amanda’s yogis for over 5 years and in that time, I’ve improved my balance, focus and flexibility. I have a new appreciation of breathing and relaxing. Amanda’s teaching has encouraged me become a more positive and honest version of me and I’ve met some pretty amazing people along on the way!
